Case Study: Midem Successes for Artists.
Here at Horus Music, we leave no stone unturned when it comes to helping artists take their careers to the next level. Aside from music distribution, one of the many ways we do this is through representation at Midem.
Midem, the largest annual business-to-business event in the entire music industry calendar is a spectacle not to be missed. We’ve been attending Midem for 10+ years and have forged many key relationships and met some amazing people during that time.
Before Midem begins, we work individually with artists to develop a high quality Electronic Press Kit (EPK) that showcases them and their music. We can represent these artists by showcasing their bespoke EPK to influential music executives, all in order to obtain contacts and create business partnerships for artists that help progress their music careers.
If the opportunity to be represented at Midem and have your music showcased to some of the biggest names in the music industry interests you, then please feel free to contact us and we’ll discuss it further.
God Damn
We represented the Wolverhampton-based rock group God Damn at Midem, the band were seeking to find a booking agent as well as some sync opportunities.
We pitched the band to Industry Originals’ booking agent Kris Tomkinson, who signed a deal with God Damn and later became part of the band’s management.
The band released their second album ‘Everything Ever’ last year and have recently performed at Reading & Leeds Festival 2017.
Alien Drive
We represented the brit-pop influenced alternative rock band Alien Drive, who were looking for sync opportunities for music released on their debut album ‘Are You the Enemy?’.
After pitching Alien Drive’s EPK to several influential sync executives at Midem, they signed a sync deal with the LA-based 411 Music Group who have licensed music to massive global brands such as Netflix, Red Bull and HBO.
The band are currently recording their second album in Copenhagen and are looking forward to sharing new music with their fans.
The Fores
We represented The Fores, an indie rock band hailing from Leicester. The primary goal of The Fores was to find a suitable PR company for them to work with on their releases. So we set out to pitch the band to some of the biggest PR companies in the business.
The band were offered a promotional plan offer from a French public relations and promotion agency called Music Media Consulting, who have worked on releases with artists such as David Guetta and Franz Ferdinand.
Black Tie White Noise
Having previously supported singer-songwriter Joan Armatrading on tour, the rock-outfit Black Tie White Noise received a lot of interest when we represented them at Midem.
Not only did the band receive a management and recording deal offer from Animal Farm, but they also received a promotional plan offer from Music Media Consulting plus a sync deal offered by the global surfing brand O’Neil.
Chase the River
Chase The River, the acoustic project of Stuart Lunn, received a great offer from the UK / France / Brazil based marketing consultancy Csense Media.
They offered to help Stuart promote his music and work with him on his digital marketing. Chase The River’s debut EP was nominated in the Pure M Awards for best EP, Best Irish act and best newcomer.
