Wondering how much time it takes to get music online and into stores? Turns out it’s not that long at all!
The journey of an album from artist to store can take as little as 24 hours. Think about it, you send your music to us on a Monday morning, our distribution team will then review your release and (providing there are no problems) send it to stores.
On Tuesday morning over 200 download, streaming, mobile and internet radio platforms will have your album in their possession. This list includes (but is not limited to) iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, Tidal, JioSaavn, Google Play, Amazon and plenty more where that came from!
It can then take between 24-48 hours for the stores to upload your work, but they all work at different rates so some may take longer.
A few examples of how long it may take to get music online are as follows:
- Amazon On Demand (streaming store) can take 6-8 weeks to process a release.
- Google Play can take 2 weeks.
- Spotify, Deezer and Amazon (Download store) can take up to a week.
- iTunes can take around 24 hours.
Get Music Online!
If you have a set release date we recommend sending your music to us at least 2 weeks before. However, we do recommend that you send us your music 6 weeks in advance to eliminate any potential problems.
In most cases though, we can have your music live on stores within 24-48 hours of delivery. Many of the bigger stores we work with are more reliable in uploading the music we send them, other services do work at a slightly slower rate.
The 6 week window should provide enough time for stores to have your music go live on your desired release date.
If you’d simply like to get your music online right away, that’s not a problem. We can distribute your music within 24 hours and some stores will be live within another 24 hours. We also have the option for urgent Delivery if you need your release to be a priority.
It’s as easy as that! Let’s get started!
