Horus Music Publishing+ sync opportunities explained

With your HMP+ subscription, you will unlock different types of sync briefs and other songwriting opportunities.

Rolling Sync Briefs

These will be sent out to you every month via our Publishing+ newsletter. You can submit up to 5 songs per brief and these will be added to our database. These briefs tend to have a more generic topic focus, such as ‘Halloween’, ‘Christmas’ and ‘Valentine’s Day’. If you feel you have a song which would be a good fit, you can submit via the form provided within the email. Our team hold these songs in our internal database. For any briefs that come through and require a track which fits under one of the rolling briefs topics, if your song(s) are a good fit, we will put them forward for consideration.

Priority Sync Briefs

Priority sync briefs are much more specific and usually consist of a particular company looking for a song which meets stricter criteria. For example, it could be a Netflix film looking for a romantic love song within the indie pop genre. Priority sync briefs are time-sensitive, so these will be shared over on our discord channel. This type of brief will be available to you as and when we receive them from our contacts. You may find there are some busy periods and some downtime.

Song Pitches

Labels, artists and publishers are often looking for unreleased original songs for their artists to record and release. For example, a label working with K-pop artists may request a song for one of their artists. They would then record and release under their artist’s name. Song pitches will be shared with you via our newsletter and discord channel for you to submit your music to. For any successful song pitches, you will be credited as the songwriter and receive publishing royalties.

Bespoke Songwriting Opportunities

In addition to standard sync briefs and song pitches, as a HMP+ subscriber you will also be notified of a variety of additional opportunities. This can be anything from applications for a songwriting camp, a producer asking for a topline to be composed and performed or a request for a new original song to be written about a specific theme or tell a certain story. These opportunities will be shared with you as and when we receive them via our newsletter and discord channel.

How much does Horus Music Publishing+ cost?

We offer two types of subscriptions for Horus Music Publishing+. The first is our single songwriter subscription. This is perfect if you are looking to manage your publishing for just one artist or songwriter. You will be able to upload your catalogue solely for this project. Our single songwriter + subscription is priced at just £5 per month.

If you are in a band, each member will need to purchase their own subscription to claim their share of the royalties.

The second option is our publisher starter + subscription. This is a great option if you are looking to manage your publishing as a label, or for multiple artists and songwriters.

Priced at £7.50 per month, this will enable you to upload your catalogue for multiple artists and projects. You can upgrade to add additional artists to your subscription for just £2.50 per songwriter.
