Did you know you can have an artist profile on Apple Music?
‘Connect’ allows you to communicate better with your fans and you can even customise your page with your own branding for Apple Music using photos, a biography, videos, your songs and other promotional material.
Your fans can then comment on, like, and share this through social media or email.
How to claim your Apple Music artist profile
You cannot claim your artist profile if your music is not on Apple Music to start with. Once it is live, you’re already part way there.
Go to iTunes Connect (here) and sign in with your Apple ID and password.
Select ‘Artists’ from this screen.
Click the ‘+’ icon in the top corner.
Click the ‘+’ icon again and enter the URL of your iTunes Store page.
Follow the instructions on the following screens and select your role (e.g. Solo Artist, Band Member, Manager etc.) and enter a relevant contact for your management company or record label.
Click ‘Done’ and your information will be sent to Apple. They will then verify this information and you should receive an email confirming that it has been completed.
Once your submission has been approved by Apple you will be able to log back in and start updating your Apple Music artist profile.
