Finance Manager Job Brief:

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our new re structured Accounts Team. You will be overseeing our accounting operations, payroll, foreign exchange along with processing of bills. You will be looking to make improvements to procedures and controls and incorporate more automation. Your role is an essential part of our business operations and involves working with our external partners along with our global teams.

Finance Manager Responsibilities

  • To manage and maintain our accounting systems.
  • Develop and implement financial plans, budged and forecasts.
  • Analyse and interpret data and be able to advise accordingly.
  • Monitor cash flow including inflows and outflows.
  • Ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner and deal with dispute and enquiries.
  • Provide financial insights and guidance to support our strategic and organisational goals.
  • Communicate, in English, financial information effectively to internal and external parties.
  • Collaborate with senior managers.
  • Analyse costs, identify cost saving opportunities and implement measures to control expenses.
  • Collaborate with auditors, accountants, tax professionals, regulatory authorities and financial institutions as required, not just in the UK but around the globe.
  • Foreign Exchange of the companies’ various currencies.
  • Prepare and submit Research and Development reports to regulatory authorities.
  • Supervise staff.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in this role or similar role would be essential.
  • You will need a good head for dealing with complex financial models and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills with a very high attention to detail.
  • Understand and work within established financial practices and comply with all statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Highly organised.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Not be frightened to put forwards new ideas that can improve processes and efficiency.
  • At least 3 to5 years’ experience using XERO with a high level of proficiency and understanding of how XERO can automate daily functions.
  • Efficiency with technology with advanced abilities using Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure and work to tight deadlines.
  • Take part in regular meetings.
  • Proven experience in FX.

Qualifications

  • This position is open to all graduates in a related subject, but candidates with experience and industry qualifications such as ACCA or IFA is equally valid.
  • English proficiency.
  • Experience in a fast paced, environment.
  • Committed to duties, a self-learner and a team player mindset with the ability to think outside of the box and not be frightened to contribute to company and team discussion and planning.
  • Banking experience.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body is desirable.
